Learn how to identify useful and edible native and medicinal plants growing in your local environment, as well as how to incorporate them into your daily lifestyle. Participants will learn the basic principles of foraging and go on a foraging walk to identify plants in a natural environment.
Registration: $35 per class per person.
Regenerative Agriculture Intensive - 5 week course Mar 25th, April 8th, April 22nd, May 6th, May 20th
Participants will gain a solid foundation in soil ecology and regenerative farming practices to maintain and improve soil health and biodiversity, and learn hands-on, practical techniques for growing nutrient dense crops and holistically stewarding land. Students will learn to make and reproduce cost-friendly, regenerative, holistic garden amendments by sourcing materials from their kitchen pantry and surrounding environment. Hands-on activities will include solarizing a new farm plot, selecting and planting a cover crop, making mineral and biological amendments including Compost tea, Fermented Plant Juice, Potato Leaf Mold, vinegar extracts, & more.
Lunch will be provided.
