About the Auerfarm EGG-cellent Scavenger Runt & Fundraiser

Join our socially-responsible, family-friendly scavenger runt (run x hunt) that will have teams traversing Auerfarm in search of five different colored plastic eggs hidden in five distinct areas throughout the farm. DESCRIPTION

Join our socially-responsible, family-friendly scavenger runt (run x hunt) that will have teams traversing Auerfarm in search of five different colored plastic eggs hidden in five distinct areas throughout the farm.

Teams travel together by foot to each area in the order of their choice to find an egg. Inside each egg is a number between 1 & 50 that will be used to compute the team’s score. Teams are NOT allowed to peek into their eggs to see what their number is - they must wait until they reach the finish line before their eggs can be opened and final score computed. The three teams with the lowest score win a prize pack to include gift certificates for two free pairs of Saucony shoes (redeemable at Fleet Feet) and other fun swag.

In addition, each area will have special Saucony-branded eggs. Find one of these eggs and you will automatically win a prize sponsored by Saucony.  Beware, these eggs come with a price tag of 60 points – but with great prizes like a fresh cut Christmas tree and home-grown goodies from Auerfarm, Saucony swag bags and gift cards to J. Rene Coffee Roasters and the Republic restaurants, we think the prizes are worth the extra points.

Like the other eggs, you may not peek inside your egg to see what prize you have won until you cross the finish line. Additionally, each team is only allowed to collect one Saucony egg so more teams have a chance to automatically win a prize.

This event is limited to 60 teams. There will be a staggered start with teams starting every 1-minute beginning at 9am. You will receive your start time as well as a map of the farm showing the areas where the eggs are hidden the day before the event so you may strategize your route.

Teams then have one hour on race day to complete their hunt. If they do not retrieve an egg of each color, they will receive a score of 75 points for any missing eggs.

This event is not about being the fastest time. It’s about having some fitness fun while enjoying the fresh air and beauty of Auerfarm – and helping to raise much needed funds for the farm so they can continue offering so many wonderful programs to inner-city schools. 

Choose from two registration options: Duo (2 people for $50) or Family (families may have up to 2 adults and up to 3 kids for $70). Kids under 15 years of age must be accompanied by an adult. Each team registration includes two each of Nathan Big Shot one-liter water bottles and 10 Saucony Bucks (to spend at Fleet Feet on Saucony shoes and apparel), as well as apple cider, coffee roasted and brewed by J. Rene Coffee Roasters and donuts at the finish.

For an additional $55 per person, you may also purchase a ticket for Brunch on the Farm catered by The Republic Restaurant immediately following the event. Brunch menu includes fresh fruit, scrambled eggs, bananas foster French toast with fresh whipped cream, bacon, sausage, 9 grain toast with jam & butter, assorted quiches and either a bloody mary or mimosa.

All COVID safe-dining protocols will be followed with special socially-distant eating areas.

Face masks must be worn at the start and finish areas, but only need to worn while running when you are within 12’ of another team. Participants will run/walk on gravel roads and on grassy trails throughout the farm. Please no strollers or pets.
